Marshall Traded to the Dolphins

Chad Henne woke up the happiest man alive today, and so did I. Brandon Marshall has been traded to the Miami Dolphins for Miami's 2nd round pick (43rd overall) and what is said to be a 2nd rounder in the 2011 draft. Brandon Marshall is the highest paid receiver in NFL history with a four year 47.5 million dollar extension in addition to his 2.5 million dollar tender.

This move makes it a lot easier now to go forward in the draft. The strategy is now simple: defense, defense, defense! I expect the Dolphins to pick NT Dan Williams out of Tennessee since Jason Ferguson is suspended the first eight games due to PED use. This acquisition is exciting because we now have two big time play makers in Ronnie Brown and Brandon Marshall. Marshall is flat out phenomenal; he holds the record for most catches in a game (21) and has more touchdowns and 100-yard games than all Dolphin receivers combined during the past three years. This is exactly what we needed, a young stud wide receiver who can be coached up by Tony Sparano and be shown the right path by Bill Parcells. This will be great because Chad Henne finally has his weapon and now he can progress even more. I'm going to enjoy the Henne-Marshall calls on CBS and WQAM, especially with Jim Mandich doing his trade mark "AWwww-Rahhht Mi-AAaaami!!!"
